Guarda is a non-custodial multi-currency wallet available on every major platform. This guide takes you from first download to confident daily use — step by step.
Guarda is available across all major platforms. Visit the official Guarda website and choose the version that matches your device. Never download from third-party sources — always use the official site or your platform's app store to avoid counterfeit versions that could steal your funds.
On desktop, run the downloaded installer and follow the on-screen prompts. On mobile, install directly from the App Store or Google Play. Once open, you'll see two options: Create New Wallet or Restore Existing Wallet.
If this is your first time, select Create New Wallet. If you already have a Guarda wallet on another device, choose Restore and enter your backup phrase.
Guarda encrypts your wallet locally using the password you create. This password is not stored anywhere — not on Guarda's servers, not in the cloud. Only you have it. If you lose it, the only recovery option is your seed phrase.
Use at least 12 characters combining uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols. Write it down and store it somewhere secure.
After setting your password, Guarda shows a 12-word seed phrase. This is the master key to your entire wallet across all coins and all platforms.
Guarda will ask you to verify the phrase by selecting the words in sequence. Complete this before continuing — it confirms your backup is accurate.
The main dashboard shows your total portfolio balance and individual coin balances. Use the "+" button or the asset search to add any of Guarda's 400+ supported cryptocurrencies and tokens.
Select the coin and click Receive. Guarda displays your wallet address as both text and a QR code. Copy it or let the sender scan your QR code.
Select the asset, click Send, and paste the recipient's address — never type it manually. Enter the amount, choose a fee level (higher = faster confirmation), and review everything before confirming.
Guarda requires your wallet password before broadcasting any transaction — a checkpoint that prevents unauthorized transfers even on an unlocked device.
Guarda's built-in exchange lets you swap one cryptocurrency for another without leaving the app. Select Exchange, choose the asset pair, enter the amount, and review the estimated output before confirming. Rates and fees vary by pair and provider.
Guarda is non-custodial: you alone are responsible for your funds. No support team can recover your wallet if you lose both your password and seed phrase. Follow these habits consistently:
